Fitting 18 spider wheels/handling

Hello,
I just found a 4.5 model in LHD. I wonder about the cost of new/used wheels ? I couldn't find any price on the net and the nearest dealer is 1400 km away.
He says it makes handling difficult (too directional )on small roads.

What tires to put on ???

Never had any problems with the 18" spiders on mine. Drove beautifully. 225x35xZR18 Toyo Proxes on the front, 245x40xZR18 Toyo Proxes on the rear (increase in profile made it a smoother ride).

Turning circle isn't as good, though...

How much did you pay for them ?
As my car is yellow, I want to have some in dark grey magnesium style !

Details of what I paid for mine (over a year ago now) are on my profile. They're about £200 a piece from a dealer, for what it's worth.

Fewer second hand anthracite (i.e. darker) ones out there, so you might be best off getting some silver ones resprayed.

Having done a back-to-back on cars with and without, the difference doesn't appear to be noticeable, probably as the Cerbera is realtively harsh to begin with compared to the BMW and Mercs that suffer badly with big wheels or it could be down to sidewall stiffness...

Having good/sorted suspension probably makes a big difference to it.

Thank for the replies. I am looking forward to get my Cerb, it is getting serviced at the TVR Belgium dealer.
It seems that I am the only french fool to have a LHD one and I like that.

We found the 18" spiders made the car better all round. We changed from the org 17s with SO2s to new spiders from the factory with the optional new boots they are offering: Goodyear Eagle F1s 255/35-18 rear & 225/35-18 front. The ride is now much smoother even with the lower profile, as the walls arn't as stiff as Bridgestones were & because the fronts are lower profile you can realy feel it turn in quicker. They also seem to break away much more predictably than the old ones, but that could be because they were old...

Also, not that anyone would for TVRs, don't even think about run flat Bridgestones, I put some on my BM so I could put a LPG tank in but the ride is so bad I havn't driven it since I put them on, it's the worst car I've been in
