Duncan, why on earth are you emailing Billy with the details of how to get into his car? If the bloke cannot take the time to read the manual he does not deserve to be emailed how to get in with a flat battery. What if he does't have a Cerbera at all? It is your car he could be nicking. I suggest you let them phone a dealer/factory next time.

People take a dim view of other people being liberal with the 'not-so-secret-now-everyone knows' way in. I urge you not to respond to such posts.

Sorry to whinge but some things must be kept close to our chests.

Cheers

I know Billy, so I guess it's a real call for help!

I can't help thinking folks get a bit anal about all this 'secret' entry stuff. It gets treated like some nod nod wink wink deadly secret, as if the 'few' folks thta know it (pretty much everyone bar Billy it seems) each think they know something really...well....secret.

It ain't as if it lets you drive the car off - you just get in! Do you think than anyone who wants in to a car in a hurry - any car - is going to faff about with any 'secret' entry method? Brick through the window and they'll be in in 10 seconds!

If it was something that was not common knowledge (with this is), that took 10 seconds to do (which this doesn't), that let you drive the car off (which this doesn't) then I'd be concerned. Otherwise, chill out.

Has any TVR ever actually been nicked by virtue of the 'secret' method, that every TVR mechanic, mate of TVR mechanic, AA man, mate of AA man, TVR owner (bar Billy), mate of TVR owners (bar Billy's mates), car crim, mate of car crim knows?

Shut it!

I've been classed a snob recently, so I guess we're all snobby about our marquee, which is close to our hearts, like where the key to my front door is hidden... they cant nick my yard, but they sure can nick everything inside it!
And the feeling of knowing someones been in your car/home without your knowledge - disgusting! It dont matter if they car didnt get nicked or not, just thinking when you drive her again, not knowing if the guy who just looked up at ya down the road was the nobb who 'secretly' crept into my car, had a shit and stole my sound system - is too much to handle, death to them all, with my feckin samurai sword and mop!
