Hi I am interested to see what BHP people are getting out of their 4.2 after a rebuild(thatsvif you have had one)did you find you were getting the 350bhp/360bhp that the figures show fresh out of Blackpool. Really interested in like for like rebuild. Also who did the rebuild, have most of them gone to Dom at POwer and JAson at st8six,

I'm afraid you will not get a straight answer to your question as it depends on who has done the rebuild and it will vary depending on exactly what has been done to the engine during the rebuild. The people you mention are amongst the most respected in the business but there are others, search the Cerb forum and you will soon establish who the reputable engine rebuilders are.....and some who aren't!

Lots of other TVR specialists seem to send their engines to Jason for a rebuild, it is where I had mine done, more expensive than some but the attention to detail shows up in the final result, simply brilliant!!

If you fancy having a go yourself, 'Longbow' on here did it and afaik had a picture blog of the build. I think he ended up around the 370 mark.
