Engine oil - which one?
Discussion
Probably been asked a thousand times....sorry.....but what is best in a AJP8? I'm a big fan of valvoline VR1 for rover v8s as it holds pressure when hot better than most, and I note that they do a fully synthetic 5/40..... But I also note that TZR recommended Carlube in the owners handbook?.
Engine oils have changed considerably since the Cerb was launched 18 years ago.
The two factors you should keep in mind are: when you use you car (winter stored in sub zero temps, or summer only mainly track days), and that your AJP8 has flat tappets with aggressive cam profiles.
I would be happy to use VR1, grade depending on use.
