After 4 weeks of spannering I finally put the finishing touch on the Cerb.
Everything looked very nice and I was dying to hear her roar again.
Got in, tried to start it and she turned over but didn't actually start.
I think the fuel pump didn't engage.
I should hear a whining noise from the fuel pump before starting, no?
So I was guessing maybe the fuel relay from the immobiliser?

Everything worked fine before, so it's my only guess.

I can't order the part on time for my trip on sunday.
Is there any way to bypass this relay?
Actually can you just dismiss the whole immobiliser? the thing causes more pain than it's worth..

Thanks

The fuel pump is easy to access by the rear left wheel. Use a meter or a test lamp and see if you are getting 12 volts at the pump when ignition on and then cranking. If there are 12 volts then suspect the pump or a bad connection. Try putting a live 12 volt supply to it and see if it works.
If no 12 volts then locate the fuel pump relay and bridge the 2 large terminals. The pump should run constantly with the ignition on. Or swap the relay with one you know works.
If it does and you know the pump works then check the other 2 relay terminals for 12 volts and earth. If there are no 12 volts then suspect the immobiliser.
I think there may be some posts on this already.

I did the search but didn't get quite as good of an answer as this.
Will try it tonight. hope it's a simple problem.
