Running Hotter In Cold Weather

Took the whole family out for the first time yesterday and enjoy the slippy, congested roads and watched the water temperature as it kept creeping up towards the 100 mark, and once slightly over it. It was as if it was a really warm day

I also noted on two occasions that it flicked right up to the top of the scale and back again, which I reckon could mean there is air in the system...

Usually on a good straight it settles at 90, but yesterday the lowest it would do is 95.

Seemed to behave OK otherwise and I do have reason to suspect the accuracy of the gauge is suspect, but even so I'm a little concerned.

Does anyone elses car act like this...

I did have the wife and kids in, which might have limited top speed a little - but not much

All being well, will hopefully see you later mate - already got my 2 x £1 ready for a listen to your exhaust on the return trip
