Bought one of these from Dave Beevers djbeevers@hotmail.com (article on these, with better photos, on www.tvr-cerbera.com )

Excellent quality and looks fantastic in the flesh (much better than in these photos, appologies for the poor photography)and even a DIY numpty like myself fitted it in 10 mins.

Need to get round to fitting the Leven handbrake now

Cost £80 FYI

Am I on commission yet Dave?

You have 5 clamps that go under the hole in the tunnel, securing the lower ring to the tunnel. Then the leather gaitor (trimmed to size)sits clamped between lower ring and top ring, held down by the counter sunk screws as you can see in the picture (except I dropped one bolt down into the bowls of the beast and my hands are too fat to reach down the side of the seat)

Nick, I will send you another screw. The screws you have are stainless, so will stick to a magnet? If you fix one to a piece of string you may be able to "fish" it out!

I hear ya Dave, but got a feeling any magnet (if I have one, that is) will head for the seat rails before finding an itty bitty screw.

Ta for the replacement

After all the money I've spent, I really really got to stop myself... but I have some interesting plans for the cerb's interior... just have to wait till she comes back first... I hope she dont get jealous of the Z... (worst worry right! we all know how tiv's are when they see you in another)

The current design was done like it is to match the shape of the central steering wheel boss, so that it retains the "look/feel" of the car.

Could maybe add an outer ring of brass to the existing design? Could look into this. As is always the case the price may dictate what is possible, unless money is no object.... The current design is quite pricey, much more than I would want it to be, but thats because it has quite a few components in it, the quality is good and also I did not get all that many made. You need to talk in batches of 50 or more to get a decent price, thats why I have sold all these surrounds at cost so far. So for a one off it may be quite a pricy addition, but I can get a cost for you on it.

J S G, Im also getting some wiper delay knobs done, so may be useful for your Tuscan? but not much use to the cerb lads. Will send you a pic when they are done. They look like the existing 6 flute knobs and are made of Ali.

Get me a price then!

Quote me happy!

Will the brass knobs for the air and lights from a tuscan go on the cerb? I'm going for a more bling look... I love little things like this... too much aluminium makes the car feel a little cold, want to warm it up a little...

Just fitted mine today... superb many thanks Dave, easy to understand instructions but I think 30mins would be a fairer timescale...or was it just nerves with scissors at the ready and the gaiter at my mercy

SXS,
I can now quote you probably unhappy (well....), the price of the brass suround is £160. If a few people would want one I could get a couple made up and the price would drop to about £60, depends on how many people would want them.....

I think this is too expensive, but the high cost is due to only making small numbers of these brass rings.

Ive had a quick look at the handbrake suround and it may be a tricky thing to make due to the fitment. Also these surrounds on the Tuscans cut the handbrake gaiter with time. I may be able to overcome this problem, but need to find a car which is local to me to have a good long look at.

Anybody live near Leeds-Harrogate?? The previous guys who had the cerbs which I measured for the gear lever surround have since sold there cars.

Anyway, Im glad you all like the bits. I will let you know if anything happens on the handbrake surround thing. If I can get a car to have a look at I would expect that the price of it would be about the same as the handbrake, may be less if more people want to buy one.

Cheers
Dave

You're welcome to come and have a look at mine. It's up on axle stands for the next couple of days while I do my brakes. I'm in North Leeds. Email me and I'll send you a phone number.
