Cerbera Eventing

Could any owners who plan to either race, sprint or track day their Cerbera
in 2005, please let me know?

I'd like to feature follow a few on TCR during the year.

Please don't be put off by not wanting to pen huge articles, I'd just like
a few lines, or I may even turn up with camera, pen and paper in hand.

We will both be back at as many of the TVRCC track days as we can get to. I can try and persuade Mandy to type something up for you, there can't be too many girl's taking their Cerbs out on the track?

BTW Graham have signed up with the register & mailed you some pics.

Graham,

I did seven this year in the Cerb and will do again, Brands, Goodwood and the Southern circuits. Favourite is Brands GP.

I'll get some pictures through to you and I'll let you know when I'm next out.

Likewise, having loved every minute on Oulton Park and Castle Combe last year, I'll be taking my new Cerb out as often as I can (work and family permitting ).... will be interesting to see how it compares to the Chim!

The main aim of buying the cerb was to do track days when not road racing ,but so far only managed one at croft,(where the photo on the PH calendar came from)
when i first went to view the cerby the intention was to use the engine for a space framed auto cross car ,but it was love at first sight (id never seen one before)& i just couldnt chop such a beautifull creature up.
so if i make a mess i can go back to plan A

Well I have a training day with Andrew Walsh (1st Lotus/Carlimits) booked at North Weald for the end of this month, followed by a track day at Snetterton at the end of February. Beyond that, I don't know.

Me and my dad will be sprinting next year (though I might not trust myself with the Cerb until very late on in the season - will use my own car first) - im happy to write, but dads quite busy usually - so probably not the best person for the job.

It is however, worth getting in touch with "Jes Firth" and "Andrew Farrel", both of whom are indecently quick drivers. I believe Jes is a member on here, though his posts have so far generally been about how annoyed he is with his 4.2... so not sure if he'll have it next season???

Will be competing in the TVRCC Speed/Sprint Championship in 2005 in a Cerbera Speed 6 - runner up overall in 2004 in the Speed 6. Let me know direct if you want the event calendar - most circuits/hillclimbs covered, either in this Championship or others

Many thanks for the reply.
I followed your 2004 season in Sprint, didn't realise you were a PHer, but
congratulations on your success.

If you could send me any season details and what changes / preparations
you make for each event etc that would be wonderful.

Some photos would be great too if you have any?

Any chance too of a few lines after each event on how it went?

I'll do my best to get along to at least one event to say hello and any feedback
will be much appreciated.

I expect to compete in the TVRCC speed championship at 3 sisters (17 Apr), Loton Park (21/22 May), Anglesey (12 june), Aintree (25 June), Harewood (10 July), Curborough (17 July), Harewood (28 Aug) plus additional rounds in the Liverpool MC and Chester MC series. This assumes I dont completely smash myself or the cerb. All I can say is that competing is more expensive than spectating but again proves you get what you pay for. On track it is fun and it's what our cerberas were bred to do.

For those that have attended track days in the recent past with their
Cerbera, bearing in mind the noise issues, which circuits generally
would you recommend?

a) In terms of db allowance without having to use silencers?

b) In terms of fun to drive?
