Indicators not working then working
Discussion
I had the Cerb out today after fixing an irritating ticking noise from a back brake, however the indicators weren't working.
I tried the hazard flashers and that worked OK, so guessed it wouldn't be as simple as a fuse.
So went back to the garage, stopped the car and opened the garage doors, drove in and thought I will try the indicators again, and they were working OK.
The car had been sitting for around 6 weeks on a battery conditioner, could this have caused a problem ?
Any suggestions appreciated.

Mine would occasionally do that if it had been sitting a little while - still enough juice to start the car, but the indicators would be wonky - all you had to do was stop the engine and restart, and all was fine. It only happened 3 or 4 times in 3 years so I never got round to doing anything about it.
Thanks Guys. Next time I will just drive a bit turn off and on again and see what happens.

I had a good look for a stone or similar that could have been causing it and couldn't see anything, I tried moving all parts to see if anything was loose and noticed the part which bears down on the pads and is retained by the same spilt pins as the pads, I don't know what it is called, it is like a blade but acts like a spring to stop the pads moving, anyway it was very slightly loose, so I removed it, bent the ends to make it sit hard against the pads and the noise is gone.

My back brakes make a terrible noise no anti rattle shims fitted, where can I get them from as none listed in any of the TVR parts sites for the rear of a Cerb?
http://www.part-box.com/product_info.php?products_id=35222Worth checking to see if it is a rattle spring or just a spring, best I could do

I haven't touched the Cerb since around two weeks before Christmas. I knew that the indicators and windscreen wipers had packed up, but hadn't had the time to explore the problem.
The hazard warning light fix works! Prior to it's Christmas layoff, my indicators went from 'on-off' as normal, to just 'off', and windscreen wipers didn't want to know either. To correct this, all I did was put the hazards on and off, and now all fixed"!
Thanks!
Then all I needed to do was mop up the 3 inches of water in the rear footwell...
