Is it terminal?
Discussion
Thanks for the replies, checked the key and it was set ok. Tried starting again anyway, took a couple of seconds for the tone, and then got a horrible clanking sound. Second time I tried, no engine sounds but the engine cooling fans came on?
Oh, and now the drivers window won't close either!
Any ideas?
Beginning to think I'm going to need a low loader.
P.S. Anyone want to but an imperial blue sculpture...

the click sound tels me that the starter is trying to spin but hasnt enugh power, i would go back to basics, is the batery flat, worth a check, maybe thats why the window wont go up?,will the n/s window work? if its flat the electronics can get confused posibley why fans are on not sure,i think the BIG fuse only isolates the alternatar thus only stops charging,
i wood try a set of jump leeds ,-ve streight too the engine,(to eliminate any bad earths )and if u cant get too the +ve without taking the covar off ,put the leed on a screw driver and hold the screw driver on the +ve terminal.
it is posible the batery is ok but terminals are dirty, worth ataking off and cleaning all surfaces.
i hope you are back on the road soon with a big cheesy grin

My one did funny things from damp in the alarm speaker (which has a chip in) situated just where the spray comes up from the back wheels, which when wet took over my car as if it was possesed, playing with the windows and stopping the car and making chirping noises. Eventually draining the battery and doing another list of things.
Took the back middle cubby hole thing out and unlplugged the speaker wire and it was fine, once battery charged up.

After two hectic weekends, finally got a chance to investigate "The Big Fuse." Stupid question but how on earth do you get the plastic cover off? Spent ages trying, even disconnected the battery so I could use a screwdriver to prise it off, quickly reconnected it as the alarm went off (very loud inside a single garage, ouch!).
Any ideas before I book a low-loader?
