electric PAS

i'm hoping to look at a cerb this weekend, the guy said the only major change to the car was the PAS blew so its been replaced with electric PAS. i've never heard of this, is this normal? and good or bad? also, what's the M25 like on a saturday (yeah, i live up north).

This is normal and quite a bit cheaper than trying to replace the mechanical one.

which car is it .. I've done quite a few conversions and have told only two other people how to dom it .. so chances are i know the car and have done the conversion myslef or told the person how to do it.

Note though .. it's a cheap way to get the car back to PAS condition .. it uses TVR parts as on the tamora / t350 etc but is a way to avoid changing the PAS shaft which is expensive. It probably means that the previous owner was running the car on a budget and may or may not mean that money has been saved elsewhere also .. as alwasy treat the car at face vaklue and if the price is right it's not a reson to not buy a car just because it has electric PAS. In fact it means the PAS shaft reliability issues is no longer there

Price is ok - doesnt look a give away price unless it is totally mint and has lots of extras (suspension etc). The ad looks very very brief, too brief.

well, the guy does have to try, thats what negotiations are for. i've talked to a couple of sellers who gave me the impression they were expecting me to walk down there with cash in hand, not really the type of people i want really to deal with. this guy seemed ok tho. 98 if i remember right

Money spent and Indy service record, get them to fax some evidence through.

M25 is normally OK on a Saturday subject to the normal issues/risks.
