Thinking about buying a used V8 Cerbera, trading up from a Chimeara 400. Slightly apprehensive about getting parts for AJPV8 since it is no longer made. Any owners had problems with this?
Brakes and clutch are AP, so don't expect any problems there.
Any tips/suggestions much appreciated.

Get a good indie or main dealer and you'll be fine. Last autumn I went from a Chim400 to a 96 4.2 Cerbie, and can't believe the difference! Beware that quite apart from parts issues, the Cerb will be more expensive to service and run, but as with any TVR, a good dealer/indie who you trust is worth more than anything.

or just buy mine - 4.5 the daddy.

However, don't make the sp6/v8 decision until you have tried both !

I think you'll be fine with parts so long as you use one of the good guys ...

Expect to spend up to 3k a year if you use it regularly and you'll be fine.

ocean1 wan't having a dig at you personally, he just loves the Speed Six Cerbera
and wants us all to have one rather than a V8.

In answer to you original question, there are many indies in place who can
source parts or even have them on stock.

There have been occassions when parts seemed thin on the ground, but that was
due to, shall we say, possible 'issues' in Blackpool.

Good luck with your search.
