From earlier today, nothing spectacular to see, but I thought I'd post it anyway. To be honest Rockingham is not Cerb friendly, the technical infield suits an Elise or similar; the banked section gets so fast so quickly in a Cerb that it can go horribly wrong in a fraction of a second, and when it does that concrete wall isn't taking any prisoners (which is why I'm coasting).

Looks like a nice day. The TVR Speed championships did a round there last year.

Here's my attempt-

A bit tentative as it was my first meeting, am aiming to go quicker when we go back in 2 weeks time.

Completely agree Paul, Rockinham does not suit the Cerbera. The infield can all be done in one gear and the track is flat and uninspiring.

I have done it a couple of times and won't be going back.

That looks like fun!

I'm not a TVRCC member, perhaps I should reconsider. My favourite event so far has been the TVR NL Zolder trackday, and I'm hoping to go back again this year.

The banking is 100% full throttle in the race car and is quite an event. I have to take her all the way out to the wall on exit to carry the speed, exciting! Well North of 150 mph.

Here is a short vid from a few years back, we was on some very old tyres and had suffered total brake failure in the race before so taking it quite easy.

Great Vid, Paul. Christ, it looked like there were only 3 of you out there yikes

Do you mind sharing what suspension and tyres you had on then ?

Spectacular!

I'm so relieved you were on a different configuration to us, I wouldn't have been able to resist seeing how much quicker you were (and that would have been very depressing).

Track days are always quiet towards the end of the day, and there was still an hour left after that.

I'm using Protechs from Joolz with original springs, AD08s on the rear and second hand Goodyear Eagles on the front (£35 ea off eBay). Yesterday I replaced the Goodyears with new AD08s that I was saving until after Rockingham as it is known as a very abrasive track.

Yes very impressive driving, I enjoyed watching that. Shame about the brake failure at the end. The cerb sounds epic as well.
