Reversing camera
Discussion
After creasing my nearside bumper (twice) Once at Manchester airportt, on a low drainage pipe (wondered why the space was free!) and once on a stupidly placed low concrete bollard. I decided to instal a wireless reversing camera. Great success and very easy to install. Camera sits nicely in the rear number plate wired to the reversing light. Screen sits unoptusive and perfectly under the radio and on the little shelf (wired to the radio feed) great rear view and so much more confidence when getting in to a tight spot. Unit only cost about £45 on flea bay. Love it when something really works well, and hopefully prevents me from having to repair the bumper yet again!!!! Definitely enjoying the grin. :0)
Many years ago there was a thread on here about fitting reversing beepers. There was a type available at the time that was a long piece of foil that you would place inside a rear bumper (in the boot?!) that would detect objects using an electromagnetic field (or something like that).
Kev ex-RO for S Yorkshire has a camera mounted behind a rear light cluster that he has connected to a flip screen on the in-car ICE.

I have installed front and back ones, but wired to the head unit, not wireless.
