Well after nearly 4 months of (dare I say it!) trouble free speed six Cerb ownership it's about time I joined in with the banter.. Quick question for everyone, I am thinking of changing my standard 16" alloys, over to something a bit different. Would welcome your suggestions on the alloy's and any possible pitfalls you may have all come across already. Cheers

17" RLs are the best wheels IMO and can be had for a reasonable price. The are some on the classifieds for £300 at the moment, I think.

18" RLs are all faulty and were recalled, but if you can find some of them it's possible you could get a new set of 18" spiders as a free replacement if you're handy with the talk

18" spiders are the usual upgrade, you'll need 4 front spiders from the Tuscan to fit the Cerb, and maybe a little bit of fettling to get them to fit. It'll cost you around £1200 for a new set fitted.

Then you have the non-tvr route, which I know bugger all about

I'd either go for 18" Spiders as the easy option (and they still look the part). Or go completely non-TVR... in which case I'd (personally) opt for either Oz SuperLeggeras:

Or Oz SuperTurismos:

There were some other ones like Kosei Snipers, etc. I considered too. Basically, I liked the simply multi-spoke look you get on nicer (newer) astons... www.volny.cz/autosalony/zeneva2000/Aston%20Martin%20DB7%20Vantage.jpg for instance

The 18" RL's crack and the 18" Spiders buckle. I would buy outside from a reputable company. If your not a hard core track person or Rap-star, I would go with 17" Multi-spoke race wheels from OZ Racing, expensive but brilliant and well made.

Thanks for the ideas, must admit I have a mate in the wheel/tyre business who was recommending Oz racing. So now I just need to tap him for a decent price!
