My cerb 4:5 starts on the button and idles perfectly revs up and down no probs
But when driving at low speeds under 2000-2500 rpm it starts to sputter and pops and bangs great aggressively
Does this upto and around 5o mph. But press the pedal and it picks up and clears itself and full power is there and doesn't mis or splutter when cruising 70s and above its fine
Hoping it's nothing major , anyone have any ideas possible faults

It's best done with a flow meter. Normal part of the major service routine as far as I'm aware. If you're not sure get someone to do it who is! it's very easy to make it worse if you don't know what you're doing!
You need to make sure that all four butterflies in each bank are open the same amount at rest, follow each other as they open and are synchronised with the other bank!
Do you know when the cams were last shimmed? This can give problems too!

No I'm not sure when shims were last done reading through history it's not clear if they're done the or notYou need to make sure that all four butterflies in each bank are open the same amount at rest, follow each other as they open and are synchronised with the other bank!

She is very ralttly when cold but smooths out when warm
[quote=Jimm218]Mine would do that and was shaking off the lead on number 8. I have taken it apart now and discovered the lead was totally corroded.
I have the software but no flow meter and I'm all the way in Didcot Oxfordshire but willing to plug it in and have a look.[/quo
I was in didcot Friday working at your new Aldi
Bit worried I may not make the distance 100 mile and trip each way

What's it like about 3K revs?
Mine waas as lumpy as anything below 3K revs, a real pain constantly swapping between 2nd and 3rd gear, so I had it mapped. Now pulls smoothly from 2K up.
It sorts it s of out in higher revs but feels like a fuel fault almost as if she's gonna cut out when low speeds but yes constantly swapping gears to stay in a 50 mph zone is a nightmare Mine waas as lumpy as anything below 3K revs, a real pain constantly swapping between 2nd and 3rd gear, so I had it mapped. Typicaly this would indicate a lambda sensor fault as the sensor is ignored over a certain throttle opening. A favorite on my car was water getting into the lambda connectors, I ended up replacing them with high quality waterproof ones. If its not water ingress it could well be the sensors themselves. What does the software say? It's strange floored she goes like s
