The sun visor drivers side drops down. Slowly, and only a little, but with a 16:3 letterbox widescreen vision, every millimeter counts. Any quick fixes?
Neck ache: Not sure if it was the cold wind, or seating position which Ive yet to get used to. Still experimenting with seating position forward and back, as well as upright.
Visibility... Its going to take a while to get used to, Joy had to get out a few times (driveway, reversing at night etc) as I wasnt sure how close front and back were from walls and things.
Lumpy... ever so slightly lumpy (occasionally) in 2nd at 20ish, this is normal I gather.
Yellow and loud. Its so yellow and loud, people wont stop staring. I wondered if Id bought something which was a little OTT!!

ing hell, it consumes a lot! It seems to wind up 3-5k revs easily, loud but without interior 'noise'. I was playing with pops and bangs a lot, usually in second, I trust consumption will go right down when I drive like a normal person!?!?! I hope so!
Turning circle, its not good is it. How does it compare to other TVR's, the newer, older, the only other car I have driven is a V8S which was far better.

Did you not know that you were buying a noisy, juice drinking, neck aching, lumpy engined, vision impairing, OTT motor car, with the turning circle of the QE2???????

Sun Visors: - Many do this. I have stuck a small strip of velcro on the back of each one. Seems to hold them.
Neck ache: - Mmmm not had this. I may have been lucky and got my seat position right quite quickly.
Lumpy: - Yep. Around 2k mainly.
Fuel: - Full tank (£50) gets me about 200 - 250 miles.
Turning Circle: - Bad with 16" wheels, very very bad with 18" as stoppers need to be fitted to the steering to stop them rubbing.

Bob, I found a comfy driving position in my Chimaera really easily, but it took me a couple of weeks or so in the Cerb.
Likewise I got a very stiff neck - until I realised I was sitting way too upright, and then compressing my neck and shoulders to peer under the rollbar. Tilt your backrest down a notch, and try and ignore the rollbar - before long you won't notice it. Or at least, I'm now at the point where any other car feels like a Popemobile because of the bubblecar panoramic view
Once I'd adjusted to having the rollbar in my peripheral vision, I got used to ignoring it, and from then on sat far more comfortably.
As for fuel, erm, yes. I spent £432 in the first fortnight! Wife went ballistic!
Don't worry, it will get better as you get used to it, and also after a service (especially if they have to tidy a few things up). My fuel economy went from 14mpg to about 21 after a full service, re-tune and new HT leads...

I'll try velcro if tightening the visor myself isnt possible, and book in for a rolling road as soon as I can afford to, which wont be for a while.
Ive put £80 quid's worth of happy juice into the 4.5 since yesterday morning!! Obviously Ive not used it all, but the car drinks a LOT more than my old 4.0 RV8, must be all the popping and banging
Its not just the go juice either. It will drink some of the slippy stuff too so get yourself a 4ltr jug of mobil 1 or whatever yours has been run on. Check your oil regular as clockwork (and the other fluids). Consumption varies so you need to find what is normal for yours.
Mine likes a 1ltr per 1200 to 1500 miles but others use more and some less.

Just so you don't panic, they don't all, I've done over 3000 miles in mine since the beginning of October and never had to top-up, it had a service at the end of Oct, but whenever I check all is OK.
Shame the same can't be said for the coolant
Same story with both my TVRs, neither drank oil but both liked their water, still got an unopened Mobil 1 in the garage and one in the car I've had ready since the beginning

Mine is the exact opposite, coolant never moves but i get through a litre of oil every 1000 miles.
