i m so sick of all these allegedly quality garages that charge loads of money and make out they deal with extremely wealthy clients , but they are all rubbish , they do lazy work , all of them never close the bonnet ever , and after one or 2 visits they treat you like a .

any way finally take my car to censored , about a tapping sound from the rear passenger wheel and they say after a lot of faffing about that it s a modified roll joint on the rear damper, i wasn't sure what it was and the idiot on the phone made out it was like a shock absorber , and they won't just fix it NO!,they can't find a replacement because apparently its aftermarket and it modified although they won't tell me how or supply a picture of whats it is , and they still want £50 for doing fuk all and on top of that they never call me back. i v really had enough of these ahole garages. i don't mind breaking down , i don't mind paying to have my car fixed , i m just sick of being treated like a by these mugs.

i digress , what is a roll joint on nearside rear dampner

ETA

Sorry, but no names please.

With cars like this, and in fact any car, it really pays to learn about them yourself. That way you have a better chance of spotting the pisstakes.

Use the net, ask questions on forums, read the tech stuff about your car. Both you and your car deserve it

Rose...joint is my thoughts. A Spherical bearing in place of the rubber/poly bush on the top/bottom of the shock, to replace, remove shock, remove circlips that hold it in, press out, press new one in, replace circlips, replace shock.

PS speak to shock supplier about the bearing used size etc.

They drove my car back, i parked it up 10ft away from where they dropped it , and this morning the clutch has gone !!!!! Bonnet unlocked !!! they drove around with the bonnet unlocked while the clutch was failing, i really had enough. I v now sent the car back to them for them to investigate but no doubt they will shirk any responsibility if they are responsible.

YOU hand over a working car and they return a broken one as well as refusing to fix the ROSE joint problem not the rolls joint as the idiot on the phone said ( i got him to clarify this ).

This is the worst garage i v been to and they all pretty annoying.

Take your car to a reputable TVR indie, there's quite a few within reach of London.
