I picked this up a few days ago as a running project. It has lots of minor problems which I'm sure you will be hearing about soon.

It's my second cerbera but it's been a few years now and my first sp6 car.

Just for the sake of it this was my first cerbera

If anyone knows where it is now I'd love to no or if you no my new one.

Bye for now I'm sure you will hear a lot of problems from me soon.

What are the issues with the new one?! It isn't the one that was in TVR Glenn's hands a while back was it?!

That's the car that was on eBay a week or so back isn't it? Hot start issue, no history and had a fire in the dash board?
Good luck putting it right, it's important to keep These cars on the road.

Yeah looks like it could be the same car.

Much of the work has been done paint is quite good even cam with some left over.

The chassis is solid but not perfect been painted black think I'll give it a clean and repaint.

Biggest problem at the min is the poor running and very hard to start when cold just waiting for me ecu lead to arrive and I'll take a look. Looks like some one has been messing with lamba sensor wiring prob not helping.

Is your hot start issue a starter motor problem or an ignition issue?

If starter motor then there are a number of threads on this, the usual workaround is to add a helper relay. However some people have fixed the issue simply by replacing the starter relay itself.

If it is an ignition issue, then I would simply replace all service parts (including fuel filter), and then add the pressure regulator, and finally fuel pump to the list.

I would love to see the car now that the fire damage has been repaired. I would never have taken on such a task myself but it does sound like the car has been properly rescued.

Just to clarify it's a pig to start when cold but fine when warm.

Hi Hoppo4.2,
Forgive me as I am new PH but I've just come across this post and was suprised / interested to see a picture of your first Cerbera. P294 AWT. I now own this car so would be great to get in touch. It had been standing for a few years so I have been doing what I can to get it back on the road.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Si

Glad it's still around. When I sold the car it was immaculate.

Having had a full respray, retrim, new carpets new wheels.

The problem was it looked so good I was afraid to use it properly.

The outriggers were solid but we're going to need attention at some point.

Why has it been off the road?

Where are you based I'd love to see it again.

The resprayed is still looking pretty amazing with only a small scuff on the bumper. The car had been stood for a while so will probably replace the carpets to make it immaculate. When did you own her and sell her?

The outriggers haven't been done yet but it will probably need a new head gasket and while the engine is out I think I'll do a body off chassis restoration.

Car is based in Surrey. Would be more than pleased for you to see the car. Hopefully I'll get it all sorted soon to have a bit of a road trip.

Do you still have pics of what it looked like when you owned it? Would be interested to see.

Car was off the road as the previous owner sadly passed away and was left standing for around 4/5 years. His sister sold the car to me back in September 2015.

Very sad to hear the last owner passed away if it was the guy I sold to help was only in his 40's. He told me he had planned to keep the car "forever" so I guess he lived up to his word.

The body was done at tvr central in Birmingham. After someone tapped the rear end cracking the shell. I decided it was worth the extra to have the whole car done. Was never a Wright of or anything so don't worry.

While I had it it also had new cams as the old ones were shot.

If you don't mind my asking what did you pay for it? When I sold it about 6 years ago i got 10.5k. Which was fair at the time although they have gone up considerablely in the last few years.

Any chance of some pics of her now.

The paint work is still looking amazing now. The interior is a little 'old' feeling due to being out for 5 years. I live the colour combination so will keep to the same colour scheme. Are you able to email at simon@sportsandprestige.com and I'll send you some pics and full details.
