Camchain anyone?

Well b*ggeration - having got the beast upto speed and fully fetled ready to go, after 150 miles of driving I find myself stranded on the hard shoulder of the M40 thinking the inline fuse has gone pop (power just died in the outside lane & battery light went on) Not having any tools with me I am recovered to TVR Power thinking it will be an easy fix - only to discover the fuse is fine but the camchain had broken - according to Dom this happened to 5 cars that he worked on last year - now I thought this was a rarity but for one garage to quote that many seems there could be others - the most annoying part is that the tappets and cam timing had just been done along with a load of other work - any one else unlucky enough to suffer this, could this be another weak spot?

never ever seen that in all my years of working on cerberas ...

bad luck.

why haven't we heard of this before tho .. can't be that common or i'd have had a couple of cars do it myself
