Has anyone installed these coolant hoses?
Discussion
Having looked around for a set of coolant hoses for a 4.5 and seen prices between £220 and £400, I stumbled across these and wondered if anyone had any experience of them?

A few of us on here have sourced the pipes individually and fitted ones such as samco or auto silicon hoses. Other than the rad hose they are all standard sizes. Length wise just cut to suit. For the rad house I used a reinforced flexible samco hose and works great.
Like Peter I sourced my own for a fraction of the cost, but I was very lucky that a Cerb Buddy was able to get hold of a proper ACT upper rad hose for me.pmessling said:

Thanks for the advice. I've just had a look at the TVR parts manual, and with the exception of the radiator hose (19mm id) none of the other hoses are dimensioned. On the off-chance, does anyone have a schedule of lengths, bends and internal diameters? My car is 175 miles away being restored and so not easily accessible. Thanks in advance for any details.
Hi, Here is the list of hoses and hose clips that I ordered from www.autosiliconehoses.com when I did mine. (mr silicone on ebay)
1 x 16mm hose 1 metre
1 x 19mm hose 1 metre
1 x 35mm hose 1 metre
1 x 35mm reinforced hose 1 metre (top rad to thermostat)
1 x 35mm 45 degree elbow
3 x 35mm 90 degree elbow
10 x 18mm-25mm stainless hose clips
10 x 32mm-45mm stainless hose clips
You just need to cut them to the correct length.
Hope this is some help.

Just a reminder that the jubilee clips will need pinching up again after 100 miles or so.
Glad you said that, I was wandering if mine were coming lose, when I found they all needed a bit! On a slight different note, I had to take the engine out again very shortly after fitting it & had real problems getting the pipes I'd taken off to seal up again after it was back in, I ended up having to drain the system a couple of times to clean every last trace of coolant off the stainless hard pipes & the new silicon inners before those joints stopped leaking.
