oil / water gauge
Discussion
My car came with a white gauge fitted and the original broken copper coloured one in the boot. How easy/ hard is it to remove the white face and refit the copper one into the working gauge?
Do you have to completely remove the capillary for the water as I can't see a wY of getting it out of the back of the gauge?

i dont know about changing the face but to get the gauge out you have to thread the capillary tube all the way from the front of the engine bay out through to the cab not particularly difficult. The difficult part is unscrewing it from the water rail without breaking, it to much twisting of the tube will break it, threading it all the way out without bending or twisting it to much as the tube could have become brittle and will break. Then fitting it all back without breaking it. If you do break it tho it can be fixed but I dont know how much this costs
