Iv found a few how to type articles on line.

It sounds fairly simple compared to doing my old 4.2 but non of them say if it should brought set with the engine hot or cold?

Cold. Just follow the procedure in the workshop manual, though you may want to increase the clearances up by 2 thou and set the timing to equal lift on overlap.

The reason for increasing the inlets by 2 thou is that they tend to close up and since 8 thou is the minimum it is better to start at 10thou, that's what Jools told me. I don't know whet the logic is for doing the same with exhausts as they don' tend to change.
