Cerbera on airfield runway with other supercars
Discussion
I've had the opportunity and luck to take part in a unique event yesterday, mixing an air show with supercars on the runway when not in use by flying objects ! We had Noble, McLaren, Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Bentley, KTM, BMW, Porsche, Corvette, Mustang and others I've forgotten. We took passengers who contributed towards a charity in exchange.
I've had several runs on the 1 mile long runway and run against Z3M, Z4M, several 911s (no GT3), Noble M12 GTO all of which fell to the Cerbera's mighty AJP8, even when I gave them a head start... but a Lamborghini Gallardo Super Leggera did get past me (25 yards or so)
.
Drove the Cerb 400 miles there and back, ten runs or so and standing idle quite a lot while waiting in the queue to get going and it never once complained. I managed a shade under 150mph with a passenger and boot full of travel/tools/photo/video gear I couldn't leave safe anywhere, probably could have gone faster but I wasn't willing to be too late on the braking (passenger on board) and the runway was pretty windy and rough (I expected billiard smooth).
I'm told the Gallardos/Corvette Z06 were in the 156mph zone, and the mcLarens around 181mph.
Few photos and videos below (don't miss the last minute of the video with the helicopter fly-over). Apologies, it's all in French

The Cerbera was a roaring success with everyone, some even specifically asking to ride in it rather than the 458s, Gallardos or 911s

I wish I had thought of putting the camera on the side, or asking passengers to hold it and pan, but to be fair I think they would have been too shocked by the acceleration to film properly !Brill

Nicely done and in the wet. Didn't look like you had much of the runway to play with? I've been lucky and able to stretch the cars legs at Bruntingthorpe.
We had the full 1 mile, but in one direction the runway had a slight uphill then dipped so much so that you didn't see the end until past the crest and I couldn't get past the mental block to keep going even though I couldn't see where I was going. Coming back, there was a car posted at the end with photographers, and I didn't want to overshoot the braking and put them (and my passenger) at risk.Weather wise, no traction issues with a boot full of gear (we did rolling starts), but I did two runs with an empty boot and first/second in the wet were a bit more skittish, but realistically nothing preventing full throttle. The benefit of sorted suspension/geometry and a grippy runway

At Bruntingthorpe I was happily maxing out down the runway, took a photo of the speedo, then thought the end was coming up quick. Large grass area with car transporters parked the other side. Braked hard slowed down very quickly and was surprised at how much runway was left, but too scared to leave it longer on another run, wasn't worth the risk.
