They slide towards the front or back of the car (don't remember which) and lift out from the edge that you didn't push further into the bodywork, if that makes sense.
Unless they feel completely stuck in which case the gasket could be the double sided sticky type (found on some of the LED indicators), which will need some heat applied, some sort of wedge tool to prise it up and patience.
