After removing the 100 amp fuse, cleaning away the crud that had built up on the terminals, spraying WD40 about and retightening all, I took the car out for a spin (about 30 miles) and seems to be going well.
It must be going well now after leaving a new 911 Carrera 4S for dead down a sliproad to the A19. The look on the blokes face (and his female passenger I bet) was brilliant! Total shock!
