Any one else suffered or suffering from a comical dim speedo of a night time? I have a red and black dial set, which of a night time is almost impossible to read. Have heard the bulbs blacken and dim the reading, is this the case?
It is driving me mad and will get me arrested!!!!!!!!!

The speedo lights are dimmer than the rev counter by design.... it's a TVR thing!

Sometimes one of the bulbs falls out of its hole in the back of the dial, so you might only get getting one lamp's light or something.

Limbo-dance into the footwell with a little torch so you can look up at the back of the dials (you might need to remove the trim panel below the steering wheel) - you'll see if one is hanging out.

Mine was.

Much easier to take the cover off of the top, just held in by 2 wing nuts.

Wish mine were less efficient!!

The dials are Yellow ( of course) and are really quite distracting, especialy in rain or when there`s lots of spray about.

Must upgrade the standard candles, or bolt a set of gas discharge lamps through the bonnet !!

Buy a Road Angel 2 to save your licence and the digital speed readout is nice and bright

To end this situation, I now know as have been to TVR that mine as a 2001 model has only one bulb in the speedo, which I have had checked out and it is not dirty and as big as can be.

Road angel it is then!!!!!!!!! Will have to go as fast as feels necessary.... sorry officer etc...
