Hi folks.
I have a Sp6 cerby, 2000 year. Aprox 30K miles.
Its in need of a replacement clutch slave unit,,, mines sprung a leak..
So.
Would you chaps recommend the upgraded verson, or just re-seal the original.?
Also, other jobs that are worth doing , whilst im in there,
could be,,,,
De-cat the exhaust..?
Replace the rear section of the gearbox with a better unit, ie to remove the TVR linkage.?? Make for a better "feel" to the gear change.?
General clean up, and corrosion check.?
The clutch plate etc seems to have been changed around 10-15K ago, so im not expecting that to be bad.?
I think the slave had work on it then also..

Any thoughts or recomendations will be greatly received.
Ive also posted this on the Sp6 forum ,so sorry for the dual post...
Ta...

Tilton slave seems a good option.
I think the Tvr gear change is excellent so I would stick with that.
Lightened flywheel?
De cat is a good idea.

If the clutch has 10-15K on it the butterfly springs may be dodge, so check closely. Tilton slave getting reviews if you are up for a bit of butchery. Otherwise try a raceproved unit.
LW flywheel? Yes.
In all honesty be prepared for replacement of clutch, fly and slave.

Ta chaps..
The LW flywheel, ive had one of these on another car i owned , and it made the driving experience a lot less refined. Yes the engine spooled up faster, but there was a downside too it.. VERY on / off feel to the overall car..
It was a Porsche 968, now i know that had a Dual mass fly, and the TVR doesnt, but i just want an easy to drive car, with no negatives...
Are there any downsides to the TVR LW fly.?
And how much are they and where can i get one.?
Ta, Dave.

I went from an 11kg dual mass to a 5kg billet flywheel on my old M3 engine'd E30 and never noticed any real negative traits.. You just drive it slightly differently.. Oh and heel and toe..
