Does anyone know if the cerb uses any kind of exhaust gasket between the cylinder head and exhaust flange? There isn't one there at the minute on our car so I'm assuming firegum or even high temp silastic?

Nope, no gasket Matt.
Just use silicone sealer .. seems to do the trick .. been using it for 10 years on cerbs now.
