coolant pipe position
Discussion
Hi all,
I decided to get on with replacing all the coolant pipes today. My only concern is the position of the larger stainless steel pipe that runs to the water pump. I've taken photos of most of the pipes except that one. As you can see from the photo, it's resting on the steering rack,so I've wedged a piece of silicone between them. Can any one tell me if it looks right?

Mine is very similar.
As you probably already know you can make an infinite amount of adjustments by pushing and pulling on the hoses / pipes. You might have to adjust the whole arrangement to improve the clearance or get the alignment right on one hose / pipe. I would keep playing to get the best clearance you can whilst making sure that nothing is under any undue strain. The silicon is perhaps a good idea anyway to prevent contact due to vibration.
