Not me you fooooools, the car!

Cerb does not want its teens to come to an end Speedo decided to stick at 19999 smiles.

I gather its normal, will try busting it in the chops... but does this sometimes/often happen every thousand or 10 thousand miles?

Mine took 40 miles to correct itself.

This would appear to be a usual problem, but not one we have encountered with the Peril.

From what I remeber on past threads...it usually corrects itself....

If it dosn't flick round, take the speedo out and give it a good shake/thump. Worked on mine.

Has happened on mine several times. Once it went away fo its own accord, once required a new speedo module

Easy fix, requires no tools!

Go to a long private road or airfield, get it up to 190 mph and hold it there until it gets unstuck, make sure it's a long straight.

So simple!

this happened to me a few miles back - i played with the odomoter reset button and it seemed to encourage the counter forward (either that or it was coincidence!)

I gave it a few wallops, will give it a few days, if no joy are they easy to take out?

Private runway and a heavy foot on the large pedal cured mine at 20k

This is what I done to resolve it several times on my chimeara and a couple of times on the cerb.
rapid flicks on the reset button to slightly jog the wheels on the journey counter seemed to resolve it

geezer would do it Iam sure can you imagine past the pier at 190mph in front of all the boy racers what a laugh.... mind you this makes us sound like boy racers......

I prefer 25mph, seems to be about right for max pops n bangs in second

How funny, I've just had to do this to mine today. The speedo is easy to remove and then you just need to gently prise the front bezel off, undo three nuts at the back and then the gubbins inside come free.

You can then ease the motor drive shaft round over the '999' barrier.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I've had to do this. All part of the character I guess

Im back to the dealer on Monday for a new starter motor, they can sort it... although I would give it a shot myself if I knew how to get the speedo out
