What Sports Exhaust ??
Discussion
My standard rear box on my 4.5 has developed an annoying rattle. I'm assuming from a baffle inside??
Now's probably a good time to replace it with some sports pipes, but which ones?
I have access to a 4 post lift, so I can fit them easily myself.
Recommendations please? bearing in mind i've already decatted. I think i'd prefer stainless steel too. Also, how much £££ are we talking?

are making a bespoke system for the SLK 320 for around £800 + Vat in shiny stainless steel for me, they seem good and have heard some good things about them, they will need our car for 3 days as they have no pattern, but they may have done a cerb before so would be able to knock one up and send it too you directly.
Ian Reeve is ya man there !!

Think you may be referring to Hayward and Scott.
They made and fitted mine for £675 inc VAT. Looks and sounds the mutt's nuts
Edited to add: Believe it is £575 inc VAT if you are fitting it yourself.

The stainless striagh through pipes I have on mine were about £135 per pipe IIRC, but admittedly these were for a 4.2.

Have a word with Peninsula (www.peninsula-tvr.co.uk). They have sports exhausts that sound the dogs, and cost a fraction of those already mentioned.

The Hayward&scott one is from manifold right the way through to the back and was bespoke SS, having looked around the were by far the cheapest option open to me at the time.
Had a proper look last night. Turns out to be one of my tailpipes has broken its welds....
Not fallen off, yet!!
Gonna get it welded today as a temporary measure. It seems from previous threads on here, once one goes the other is sure to follow.

Welded my pipes about 8 months ago, no problems since. The weld is failt low quality. Which is why if ones gone the other is likely on its way. Probably best to sleeve it first.
