First the clutch, then wiper motor, then door electrics, then starter motor all in 3 weeks.
Spent the morning washing, polishing, waxing and now the alarm is playing silly buggers, windows and door switches wouldnt work, so whilst locked in the car used emergency handles to open doors, shut doors, realarmed and disalarmed ... nothing!
Lights flash, there is power (car was starting ok when we were in it) alarm flashes, seems to alarm and disalarm ok, but we cant get into the car.
So its stuck on the drive, Im calling the RAC, but need help as I dont want it low loaded.
Im going to get into the car the cerbera owners way
and disconnect the battory for 5 mins... reconnect and see if alarm has reset. Any other suggestions chaps, if that brings no joy and the RAC want to low load it away?

Feeling rather F***** *** again ...

Well, let me put my pennence worth in here!
I have had my 4.5v8 for 18months now and havce enjoyed every minute i have spent in the car. I wish i could find a young sexy sleek woman that could give me as much pleasure!!!
However, like all the young sexy sleek women i have been with (lap dancer types mainly, eh martin!!!), i think my relationship with my car is coming to an end.
My car is, YET AGAIN, off the road, up with Joo as we speak. Gearbox sticking in Fourth (not the usual 3rd) so an overhaul is being done to sort out the synchro! Also a few engine bits like throttle pots etc.
Out of curiosity, i added up my receipts from my 18months of ownership to find a colossal figure. Joo reckons it may be because i bought it 4yrs old and the previous owner did not spend the average of £3K per year on keeping it tip top! SO...... i get all the bills now!! Then again, its gonna be one sorted Cerbie!!!!
I am thinking of selling it because i am at a point where i no longer look out of the window and smile at the car. In fact, i would now just class it as a car and not my baby! :'(
Thinking of a Skyline or an Evo, some low cost fairly quick motoring for a while and then maybe a return back to TVR ownership!!
AND PS..... I HAVE FOUND A COMPANY THAT TVR ARE USING FOR THE NEW UPRATED STARTER MOTORS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ACE! GOT ONE FITTED AND IT SOUNDS GREAT AT THE MOMENT!!!! IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED LET ME KNOW!

Touch wood, each to their own, theres nothing like TVR ownership, once you've got the bug, emotionally detached and all the other things we hear day in day out; repeat touch wood bit again...
I honestly cant imagine parting ways with the cerb, even if it did cost me 3k every single year, or more with upgrades and mods etc.
One run in a cerb 3 years ago kept me smiling for months. I only have to drop my cerb off (4th time in 4 weeks lol) get into a courtesy car, drive 100 metres to know the hell Ive been through is worth it, cause nothing makes us grin more than our cerbs.
If it needed to go in every week praps not
Its as exciting as a McLarren F1 and doesnt cost £25k a service, the most powerful sensible daily driver in the world, more fun than a day at a theme park (about the same in petrol to drive it though) and you get to use it 90% of the year, almost every day!

Think you might want to change the thread title for it to last any more than 10mins

and at least you have the warranty
