Hi folks.

13 years of water ingress and condensation have took it's toll on my trim, and it's time for a change.

I had a go at wet vacuuming the old hessian stuff, and it fell apart smile That stuff is on the rear parcel shelf, headlining and door cards. Driver's seat stitching has come apart... again. And either the stitching on my dash has gone from Blue to White, or that's starting to come apart too.

I figure I may as well get the lot done.

I know it won't be cheap, so I figure I'll try and get Three quotes.

I'd rather take it to someone who's done a few Cerberas, so looking through previous threads, I'm guessing Dave The Trimmer. Is there any other companies that would have seen Cerberas in their shop ?

Dave's very good, but extremely busy these days, so expect a waiting list.

Other good options would be The Trim Technician and D&C.

Bespoke in Ware also have a good TVR trimmer they use, but don't know the name.

Martin could probably let you have the details (Bespoke)

You could do far worse than try the specialist who re-trimmed my Cerbera; delighted with the job!

John & business partner Kath Donnelly are excellently imaginative and easy to work with.
The only reason for saying this is that I actually am a satisfied customer!

Have you decided on a colour scheme, Russ?

It originally came with Magnolia leather, apart from the Blue dash. Then darkish Blue carpets, plus that horrible Hessian stuff.

I'm open to suggestions on the colours, from either your good selves, or the trimmer. But I like the idea of White leather. It's only ever going to be a Second car, from now on. And it's now garaged.

I think my dials are a light colour... Magnolia ish. Other things I can think of... Gear knob is scratched. Wooden facia round the dials, looks like a 16th century battlefield find. Original Pioneer speaker at the front centre, has bits of White in it's grill. Possibly cleaning products from the valeter, so may be salvageable. Driver's seat may have lost a bit of foam. All Three interior lights are trying to escape.

That's probably about it smile

Waiting wise, I'm in no rush, so would happily wait to get it in to the right person.

Dave the Trimmer had a 4 month waiting list when I booked mine in. Recently got mine back after having some custom work done on a pair of Cerbera seats from my Griff. I personally would not take mine anywhere else, his work is spot on but then I am very picky.

I've just bought a 4.2 which was done two years ago by the trim technician. It's absolutely beautiful work. You can see some of the work via the below link the previous owner kept.

Best of luck with it.

Dave the trimmer all day long as far as I'm concerned! B-Trim in London specialise in Range Rovers and celeb cars but for me it's DTT

Mine is currently with D&C Trim and Surface & Design for a full respray and full leather re-trim. I hear they are the best. I will report when I get it back at the end of next month whether I agree smile
Cheers

Hi Russ,

Spent yesterday afternoon at D&C, dropped off all my loose trim and discussing with Dave what can be done with my yellow Cerb. This is a first for me, and the help and advice that Dave, Chris and Tracey have given has been invaluable.

I walked away yesterday with the confidence that my car will be in safe hands and that the work will be first rate, with good communication at each step of the way.

Dave is currently putting together some samples of different leathers, carpets, headlining and stitching to send to me for final selection and approval.

Can't wait to see it all finished, albeit the mechanic has only just started putting the engine back in as part of a complete restoration, which will mean another 4-6 weeks before it goes home to Blackpool smile

Good luck with yours.

My cerb is currently with DC trim for a full retrim. It made sense for me as they were next to surface and design who are doing the respray. Also DC Trim were good on price smile

Without wishing to hijack the thread (too much). Would those of you who have had a re-trim done mind PMing me with the price you paid and where you went? Theres a few threads mentioning prices but they're all several years old now.

Depends where you are in the country, BUT ive used Trim-unique up in Blackpool.
Lee used to work on the Cerbera production line, and does know his way around them...
But he is busy, but then again most trimmers are at this time of the year....
