Hi all,
Dropped off all my loose trim at D&C yesterday (Dave, Chris and Tracey all very helpful), suddenly realised on the way back that the original Pioneer speakers need replacing and have been binned! Does anyone know either the diameter and depth of the original speakers, or a current Pioneer model number that fits?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Not got them in the TVR but had "Infinty" speakers in previous cars and they have been supurb.
There "Reference" speakers couple with the "basslink" sub was spot on and relatively well priced. Can't see any reason why they would fit. Had JBL's but not a great experience but this was a good few years back.

I fitted the same JL audio's as above with the spacer and the sound is superb. I fitted an 8" Bass Cannon in the boot (fits in the left wheel well) and it works surprisingly well.
My car is an early one so only had the single 6x9 in the the console and no speakers in the doors. The sound was terrible and the factory crossover boxes and thin/cheap cable made it worse.
I ripped it all out and started again with high quality cable and components and I can now (very nearly) drown out the 4.2AJP with ACT sports pipes if the windows are up, without distortion.
Its a very worthwhile job to do.

Not Cerb specific but I just fitted a pair of JL TR650 speakers in my Griff doors as the original Pioneer TS-E1660 were cabbaged - much better sound now with some actual bass behind it. £70 (ebay) well spent. The JL in the pics above look identical in design to mine.
Original Pioneers were 6" - JL TR600 are apparently a straight Griff/Chim swap but I chopped a bit out of the door panels to get the slightly bigger TR650 (approx 6.5") in. Cerbs may have used the same outdated 6" Pioneer size as the Griffs so TR600s may drop straight in?

I recently fitted a full set of the JL audio speakers in my Cerby. With the 10-12mm spacer rings, They fitted great, but didn't like the clunky spacer rings so I had the front doors re-trimmed and blended the speakers in.. Looks great now, oh and sounds way better than the old Pioneers...
Only thing is it sounds great when stationary, but as soon as the engine fires up and the car is on the move the clarity is drowned out by the engine roar...
But we don't buy these car to listen to music ,, do we...

What make and model did you go for in terms of the bass cannon? I'm just starting to rip out and replace the ICE in my Cerbera. I've got the front speakers (woofers and tweeters) cross-overs, decent cable and a new head unit. I'm tempted to leave the rear speakers and just fit something to give some decent bass.My car is an early one so only had the single 6x9 in the the console and no speakers in the doors. I'm quite happy running all the wires, etc but I haven't got a clue about wiring up the head unit. Being colour blind I can see me ending up in a right pickle

Cheers
