Hi all ! After a Rear light conversion (Mainland Europe) the fog light did Not work anymore. The Fog light switch was illuminated, but No light at the Rear end... Yesterday i Fund out, that one of the contacts under the rubber covers was lose. When i squeezed the rubber it worked,, When i let go, it won't work. So i opened the rubber, with a Cutter. As i tried to reattach the positive cable back to it' s Former Place iI caused a Short circuit. After that the fog lamp did Not work anymore. I checked the fuse, it was ok. But the Illumination of the fog light switch was off now and I was unable to Switch it on again. Did I killed the Switch? Or the control box? Any ideas and hints? Many thanks in Advance.

Standard advice really but I would start by taking out the fog light switch and test that it's getting 12V on the hot side when the headlights are on (measured against a suitable ground, eg a long bit of wire from the battery -ve or chassis). If there's no power there then you need to refer to the wiring diagram and follow it back to see where it goes. If there is 12V there then your switch is knackered.

Thank you so much for your response. I felt a bit unimportant with my problem between cerbera lambo doors conversions and cerbera vs. lotus exige-s performance discussions...smile

May be worth checking other fuses too. My Radio is on the same fuse as the Mirrors and Wipers, contrary to what the owners manual says smile

Anything else not working ?

HA! I managed to harm the lights box with my short circuit at the fog lamp. It smelled burnt and after I opened the box, the damage was visible. I soldered a wire to bypass the burnt layer and everything is fine now.
