Clutch failure 15 minutes after picking up from major service! Respected dealer. Gearbox was out to sort leaks. Dealers puzzled with Tilton conversion as no way to align clutch; g/box and bellhousing have to come off and reinstalled as one piece. Best scenario clutch cable, worst is new clutch and more problems with correct alignment.......

Had a gearbox destroy itself 1 mile from the dealer, not their fault but just one of those things. The clutch will just let go unfortunately but fingers crossed its nothing to bad.

Thanks guys, will post again when I have news. Title was supposed to be 'nae luck', or could have been 'nae clutch', a malady familiar to Cerbera owners.

Brutus up and running again. Clutch is of course all hydraulic action, no cable. I must have been 'clutching' at straws... spin

Dealer traced fault to their attempt to remove the gearbox without the bellhousing. To be fair they had not known about the Tilton slave cylinder, and the two must be removed as one unit, otherwise the pipes or the union to the Tilton slave will be damaged. So a useful warning to those with the Tilton conversion.

Miraculously they got it back together within two working days, which let me get to Knockhill for a performance day. A very tight track, and some progressive problems finding fourth gear, un-nerving when faced with that blind corkscrew corner. Despite this and slow 'traffic' managed 1.08s. And the obligatory Cerb spin, managed perfect reverse parallel 'parking', 6 inches from tyre barrier! A good day out, and car behaved well on the way home.
