Pistonheads 'search' is rubbish!

Whats happened? About 6 months or so ago the search facility on this site changed, and its rubbish!!!
Prior to this it seamed to work quite well, but i noticed a new apearance of the search screen about six months ago and since then there is almost no point in using it!
Look at this!


Quite a basic request, but the only thing it has in common with whats offered is the fact that they are from the TVR forums. It seams to pluck any old thread at random?
I'm no IT expert but surely it cant be that difficult? Or just change it back to what it used to be!!!

I've always used Google with the site search option:

site:pistonheads.com tvr cerbera valve clearence

Second link is "4.2 Valve clearances - Page 1 - Cerbera - PistonHeads"

Those threads will contain the words you searched for. But not necessarily all together!

Thanks for that guys, frustrating though, that Pistonheads cant sort it or just change it back! Why change something that aint broke!......... Apart from an oil filter........ Or a fuel filter....... Or valve clearances!

The answer is 8 and 10 thou, if you didn't find what you were looking for. Which is standard, depending on how harsh a lift you want, many have decided to open them out 2 thou, can potentially increase gas flow!

Oh, and yes, the PH search is now crap, I agree. The "google" piston heads search is far better!
