Has anyone swapped out their original factory alarm system?
If so, what system(s) did you install and have there been any issues with the Cerb's systems following installation?
Reason for asking is that my car is currently being re-built, has some strange wiring going on in the boot(more so than usual) and it just seems like the ideal opportunity to iron out some more of the inherent issues.

Yes - after a replacement Meta M99T2 lasted less than 2 years I changed it to a Viper 480xv when I did my body off restoration. The Viper was the only alarm I could find that had a 3 circuit immobiliser like the original M99T. The M99T2 replacement is only 2 circuits so needs some mucking about to fit the original wiring.
The Viper has been flawless for the last 3 years and it has a couple of extra signal channels on the alarm, one of which I wired to a remote for the garage door so that can be opened from the alarm fob.
