Will the slave leak on the floor if its faulty?

If my slave cylinder in my cerby is faulty will it drip on the floor if I pump the clutch pedal?
I have just replaced the master on it after it stopped working and I was left gearless, less than a week later. I am not sure if its cos I didnt bleed the system properly or if my slave on the way out. There does not seem to be any fluid on the floor after after pumping the perdal up to pressure last nite and refilling the master which was empty.

The Master Cylinder is connected to the pedal and the slave is in the gearbox bell housing.
In the base of the bell housing there is a small drain hole. If this is clear then you may get some fluid leaking from there if the slave seals are on their way out. If you have fluid on the garage floor, and its not come from over-spill from bleeding the system then I would say that the seals in the slave are on their way out.
Do you know if there is any bits of black in the Master Cylinder? If there is and you have replaced the master then this is a sure sign that the seals in the slave have gone.

Agreed! The master cylinder in my car went back in October and the slave followed suit about 2 weeks ago. I'd suspected the slave seals were knackered as the master cyl. reservoir had bits of rubber/black gunk in it within a month of changing it. I didn't get it sorted immediately though, which meant I contaminated the clutch plate and had to have that replaced as well. My own fault!
