Looks like a good price for someone. But is there such a thing as a 2000 model with the old style headlamps?
No sun visors, and small front pillars so could well be a lightweight.

It's a S6 almost identical to my car.
Read text carefully, several small faults to fix and 20k+ miles "never let me down" = engine not rebuilt.
IMHO £15k fair price and you need to take the car to TVRcraft ot TVR Power to do a prophylactic rebuild of top end on a 2000 car. If car came with recent rebuild should be worth £20k

I dunno so much. He sounds very genuine in the add. Instead of this immaculate condition look at the paintwork rubbish, he is telling you whats wrong.
The engine never let me down may be a decent engine from a supplier of variable quality engines. Just because a six has been rebuilt gives you no more than six months piece of mind. TVR havn't sold their problems with the six, hence my post a couple of weeks ago about brand new tuscans in the local dealers with the same old problems.
However a good price considering what someone paid for it new four years ago.

Gentlemen, A question from an innocent virgin looking for his first TVR - Cerbera.
Are you telling me these engine have to be rebuilt every 20K ?? What do they put them together with ?
Chewing Gum and String ??
Confused (and worried)
Paul
There are issues with the S6 engine. Buy a V8.
So if I indulge in a 450 I don't need to put a digital torque wrench on my Christmas present list ?
--- and what on earth are Kickplates ??
Oops, sorry ! Discovered them on Leven's WebPage !!

TVRs are all handbuilt. And recent TVRs all have their own engines. Still handbuilt. So, this isn't a 200,000 miles Honda lump that you're going to get... there will be less consistency than in mass produced engines.
The AJP in the 4.2/4.5 has, historically, been a much more reliable engine. But, if you look at all the statistics, reports of S6 (4.0) engine problems on new or rebuilt engines have tailed off dramatically in the last couple of years.

Thanks JSG. Very helpful. Can you tell me if factory manuals exist ? l'm out here in darkest Luxembourg and fancy myself as a bit of a do-it-yourselfer anyway so would expect to be doing "some" work on her upkeep myself.
And on 'almost' a separate topic. Was it a 450 Cerb which blew all the opposition away in Jeremy Clarkson's 'Greatest Car' video ?
Very grateful for all info.

That was supposed to be a 4.2. Lots of rumours about it actually being an early 4.5 (which wouldn't have made much difference) or it being fettled (which might have made a difference) or de-catted, or any number of other things. Fact is, it won. And not just by a hair's breadth, either.
No factory manuals that you can easily get hold of, as far as I know. Steve Heath (shpub on here) is putting together a book on Cerb maintenance, though (he's done similar for Chims, etc)
