Hi, sorry for the lack of posts I will put some pics on soon, A quick update, This is the Cerb I bought 2 years ago with blown head gaskets, I got the engine back in a couple of months ago it took about another month to get all connected back up after one set back after another, I think it cost me around £500 in bits and bobs that I thought needed changing, like air con rad all the oil pipes and fuel pipes, etc, got it to the basics ready to turn it over, I had primed the oil system and eventually got around 10psi with a hand pump, spun the engine and got about 20psi, put the plugs in, leads on, fuel pump fuse in, Then it was time for the big bang, I thought it would need to be cranked over a good few times but no, burst straight into life WOW big smile, had to bugger about with coolant hoses and things but ran it for around 2 mins then let it cool, ran it later to bleed the cooling system and get it to temp and keep an eye on oil pressure but all good even though the gauge reads a little high but ecu temp is ok and fan comes in and out. It was taking me ages to set it up found duff lambda one of the pots seemed erratic but did climb up ok, but it was running so rich just seemed to be pouring petrol in,I didnt want to keep running it as it was but could not find the fault. Phoned Joolz had a chat he gave me some pointers but dropped a bomb shell I could have glazed the bores due to letting the engine tickover too long without putting some load on it, Best send it to him I thought, best decision this year, I turns out someone had remapped it and set it rich, he put a standard chip in and spot on, there were a few other problems it needed new leads and some more new plugs due to misfire under load and a throttle pot, took compression readings then ran it on the dyno to bed in the rings and bores and make sure all was well, I can not praise him enough he sent me emails with updates which did not look good at the early stages, and I know he spent quite a lot more time on it than he charged me for, and I know how busy he is but always had time for me, Thank you so much, should get the car back next week then it need a few more jobs in the engine bay to make safe to use, will try and get it for the MOT end of the month, cheers
