Can any one help, i have a 1997 cerb, on hard acceleration the cut off key under the bonnet switched to cut all power off.
After coasting and working out the fault, ive turn it back on and now my heaters arent working, and indicators and hazards are just making a buzzing sound from the relay, and also the warning lights from the dash are all off.
Any help please ;-)

There is a box under the steering column that controls the steering wheel functions.
It has a very subtle flaw which I found by accident.

It's mounted at an angle.
So the lowest point of the box is one corner.
Over time, condensation builds up inside control box and forms a little puddle.

So, when you go for a spirited backroad play and find afterwards that the horn or high beam won't work it's because the little puddle of condensation has splashed and shorted the pcb in the control box.

Once the pcb drys all works again.

I drilled a drain hole in lowest corner of the control box to solve the problem.

Not sure if that helps your exact problem, but hope you get sorted soon.

Do a soft reset - switch it off and on again.

In addition to the comment about the control box, check the ribbon cables are as tightly plugged in as possible.

After moving my steering wheel position one day I found that nothing worked, so removed the panel under the steering column and looked at all of the cables.

One had become unplugged and because of the way they were routed and glued to various things behind the dashboard. It had pulled at several others and dislodged them due to it snaking everywhere.

Top tip: bend every other pin very slightly and the ribbon cable connector wont slide off as easily.

The control box for the hot and cold fans, AC etc is behind the passenger footwell panel with the ECU. Might be worth checking that. There are 3 regulators in there that can pop.

half way there....
I think the fact the battery got disconnected the alternator overloaded the indicators and blew every bulb.
so there now working, im guessing it blew the heater ecu too, dash bulbs all replaced...
