Any ideas ladies and gents?
The alarm on my Cerb seems to be playing up. The car will start and run but I have an intermittent problem where I can't get the doors or boot to open. The doors won't open from the inside or out. If I disconnect the battery to reset the alarm module, all works well for a couple of occasions and then the problem reappears.

Before I rip the factory fitted unit out and put something more up to date in, anyone any ideas what the problem could be?

I recently had a body off chassis restoration carried out so all the earths are good and the problem first manifested itself before the body was removed.

Have a look in the boot above the fuel tank, there should be an control box for the windows and doors, have a look and see what condition the contacts are in.

It "might" not be alarm related.

The door and window control box sometimes get confused and needs unplugging for a few minutes and them reconnecting, try this first before assuming the alarm to be faulty.

After driving mine out of secure car park , alarm blaring all the 30 miles home , with some strange looks but nobody confronting me ..... Just incase I had stole it !!

I decided to unplug unit and let the alarm battery go flat !
