Pod lights conversion

I'm having a bit of an "excited about Le Mans" moment, until I started to think about getting there!


So how do you convert Cerbie's headlights for driving on the other side, then? I've got a 2000 4.5 with pod lights...

You stick a 25 Deg cut wedge of black insulating tape over the part of the lens which lights up a british nearside gutter - Or you can just fit 120W bulbs and look forward to blinding 1000 Frenchmen like the rest of us !

The latter idea seems more appropriate somehow!


Joking aside, though, they're going to be damn small bits of tape given how small the actual lights are. After all, it's not like they're that effective normally anyway, is it!

Dont bother is the answer...doubt you will be driving in the dark anyhow, unless your booked either way on a ferry at a crap time of the day!

The Hella 90mm units are manufactured generically and have 3 screws on the back so that they can be twisted around either way about 15mm off centre for LH/RH drive. Bugger to do if they are bonded in though. I took time to make the mounts (stainless bit) bolt in on mine so that I can quickly get them out & convert.
