are there going to be *any* austec cars there? I'd have thought they'd have wanted their flagship 430lbs motor on show .. my flagship 358lbs motor will be there , Paddy will be there, julian marshall is bringing his car and we're gonna put a generic map into an emerald for him to see the results on the day before and after ..
I don't understand why anyone wouldn't want their car run on an independant roling road .. I for one want to make sure that the figures I'm giving people are as accurate a reflection of the performance of their car a possible .. so i want as many joospeed cars run on as many rolling roads as possible.. it's the only way to verify you're making real gains and selling stuff that actually works

I thought one of the whole reasons behind this rolling day was to get the 2 highly acclaimed cerbie tuners Joospeed and Austec together for a numbers match-up????

You would think that someone at Austec would make sure that one of their cars go....doesnt look good, and gives the impression that all the owners of Austec remapped cars are doubting their RR figures!
If this doesnt get an Austec car there to prove me wrong, then nothing will!
Just any car won't do though Paddy .. we need Nick's car there .. it's the one that sparked the debate about just how much power you can actually get from an AJP8 without SXS style mods .. they claim 430lbs and 409bhp (i think) from it .. that's the car I wanna see run on the rollers. I'll be very disappointed if it doesn't turn up ...
I'm sure Austec will turn up, I'm sure are the beginning there was much interest from them to come down with a few of their customers and respective 'tuned' cars...
As far as I'm concerned, if '1' didnt turn up with the acclaimed mods there should be another with similar mods - afterall this is a 'which mod works best' rather than a competition as such... Joospeed is putting their money where their mouth is by travelling close to 200miles down south... it would only be nice for Austec to turn up from 45miles away!!!!!

Sent the car into Austec last week as it didnt feel right. They have reported a cylinder leak? may need something re-seating (thats as technical as i can get) or maybe worse. Bad enough for it to be an engine out/heads off job. Warranty company inspecting Tuesday, after that Im in the lap of the Gods as to whether or not it can be fixed in time.
Ive tried my hardest to be there, even moving my son's Christening date, but it is looking doubtful. Sorry chaps/esses. I had even prepared myself for the grief I would get if it was way down on the quoted
, or lap the praise if it was as good
I did mail Charlie to tell him if I dont make it then I would still like to get the car on his rollers ASAP so we are all on a level playing field.

good chance to raise the compression and do some head porting to make sure of those figures too ..
edited to add .. appreciate that you tried your best to get you and your car there Nick .. I'm just really angry that there isn't going to be a head to head on the same rollers on the same day. To say I'm totally pissed off is an understatement.

Thought there were quite a few of the Austec re-mapped cars around, ok so Nicks can't make it but surely there must be at least one that hasn't broken with 400+ bhp and 400 ish lbft torque. All of the Joospeed cars are fairly similar so surely any Austec 4.5 car will do as a benchmark but we really need at least one. Must be someone on here who'll do the honours. C'mon guys.
