Hello!

I know this is not a new topic, but it's a bit different here...

So, I have to reseal the diff on my car (dec 96 4.2 with hydratrack), so I have to change the oil. I know the best oil is Morris, but it's impossible to find some here in Bulgaria. So I'm looking for some other slutions.

I've seen on some topic that it's possible to use some Castrol. I can get Castrol Syntrax Limited Slip 75W140. Is it adapted? I can also get some MOTUL Gear FF Competition 75W140 (Esther based), Fuchs TITAN SINTOPOID LS SAE 75W-140 (synthetic)

Thanks for your feedback!

As above, but Anything that is 85w140 and GL5 will be sufficient. It has to go through a specific set of tests to meet GL5 and thus I would argue that you just buy the oil from the manufacturer you like. The oil is not for the Hydratrak unit (as its sealed for life), but just for the crown and pinion.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.

I finally opted for the castrol : it's replacing the saf-xj that was recommended.

Your comment is right, though, toft : as the hydratrac is a sealed unit, any 75w140 or 80w140 should be fine...
