Looks like my battery is dead, its been on trickle for 2 days and can only just open the windows. Whilst I wait for a new one to turn up should I leave it locked with the bonnet unlocked or do what? My neighbour tells me it made a noise and was flashing its hazards today so clearly the battery is causing the alarm to play up.

Lock the car leaving the bonnet unlocked.

Disconnect the battery and await the new one.

Cheers, that sounds sensible, was just worried what the alarm would do on reconnecting.

The alarm & immobiliser should arm immediately on reconnection & will then unlock as usual with the key fob.

As above, just remember not to leave your keys in the car when you reconnect the new battery.

LOL, Yes, I was a bit paranoid about reconnecting after seeing so many people asking for the secret entry method!
