This pipe is not connected to anything it comes from the top of the fly wheel/clutch housing. Can anyone identify it for me? 1997 Cerbera AJP 4.2

+1 I had the same question when I first got my Cerbera as the pipe was cable tied to one side of the engiinr, but yes in true TVR style it's meant to be like that and is the clutch (slave?) bleed pipe

Thank you gents that solves another mystery. I'll carry on sorting the cooling system refurb now, I've never seen a more complex plumbing system in a car before. Thanks to this forum I have unraveled the maze of pipes but I would love to find a lower cost replacement for the steel pipes. They are half full of rusty crud that can only be the pipes corroding. The budget can't really stretch to SS. Any suggestions?

Yes - get them blasted and powder coated. You can even patch them with metal epoxy if they are perforated, I did a temporary repair like that which lasted for years, it would probably have gone on indefinitely except I replaced the pipe with one donated by a generous PHer.

That sounds like a good scheme but instead I'll use a POR15 system and check it regularly, thanks for suggestions.

Mine were like that - I put the Stainless ones on 9-10 years ago - still look good. I'd say it's worth it

I used POR15 before I had them powder coated, nothing wrong with that idea. But find a powder coat specialist and get a quote, I was amazed at what good value it was, and I am highly averse to spending money.

On dismantling the hoses and pipes the rot was evident and the reasons for the weeping from the hose ends was obvious. The rusty crud had built up over the years and rotted the ends of the steel pipes, so I bit the bullet and have gone the stainless route as suggested by a few here. These are the hidden things that are the result of sitting unused for months and sometimes years at a time. Another case of buyer beware when buying a low mileage car.
