I have been advised:

a) use a proper Bosch one, and from a reputable source to avoid cheap chinese rip offs.
b) make sure it is properly rated in excess of the maximum power output of your car,
c) upgrade the wiring to 20 amp cables.

Consequences of getting it wrong?
I guess running lean at high revs/power output, which if done for any length of time could wreck your engine. Small price to pay for saving a few quid.
No reason to say the one you list is either a cheap copy or not up to the job, but it's just something I think we should think about carefully before taking a risk we might regret.

I found the Bosch pump on Ebay at around £145, and actually available from my local reputable motor spares chain (Allwoods) for £125.

ETA I was looking at the Bosch one that covers cars up to 500 bhp - 0580 254 044 - hence my prices and the need for heavier gauge wiring etc.

buy a pukka bosch one from a reputable supplier. Just not worth the hassle. Bought a couple of these copies over the years, they didn't last long. Within a month or two they needed clouting with a hammer to spur them into life and squealed like a stuck pig once the tank was low and the fuel temps went up.
